Yazz sanitary pad samples meet GSA microbiological standards – Lexta Ghana

Lexta Ghana Limited, manufacturers of Yazz sanitary pads, says product samples submitted to the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) for independent microbiological assessment have met the acceptable limits under Ghana Standard GS 1248:2019. Lexta Ghana reiterated its commitment to transparency, accountability, responsible product development and consumer wellbeing.

Lexta Ghana Limited, manufacturers of Yazz sanitary pads, says product samples submitted to the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) for independent microbiological assessment have met the acceptable limits under Ghana Standard GS 1248:2019.

In a statement issued on October 30, 2026, the company said the assessment covered samples associated with consumer complaints as well as selected batches submitted for quality evaluation.

According to Lexta Ghana, the analytical reports issued on October 14, 2026, showed that the samples tested recorded microbiological results within the acceptable limits specified for single-use disposable sanitary towels.

“While these findings provide reassurance regarding the microbiological quality of the samples examined, we recognise that consumer satisfaction extends beyond laboratory results,” the company said.

The statement comes amid concerns raised by some consumers about Yazz sanitary pads.

Lexta Ghana acknowledged that it needed to address consumer experiences beyond the laboratory findings, particularly regarding the comfort and design of its products.

“We continue to review and improve our products, particularly in the areas of breathability, design, fit and overall comfort,” it said.

The company also noted that climatic conditions, particularly heat and humidity across Africa, could influence individual experiences with sanitary products.

It said it remained committed to improving its products in response to changing consumer needs and preferences.

Lexta Ghana encouraged consumers to share their experiences, concerns and suggestions directly with the company, saying such feedback would help it understand their concerns and provide timely support.

“Direct engagement enables us to understand your concerns better, provide timely support and take appropriate steps towards continuous improvement,” the statement said.

Consumers can contact the company's support team through its WhatsApp line on +233 50 996 7400, email support@yazzproducts.com, or its website, www.yazzproducts.com.

Lexta Ghana reiterated its commitment to transparency, accountability, responsible product development and consumer wellbeing.
