Ten people have been injured in a mini-van crash on King Island in Bass Strait, with three flown to Melbourne hospitals.

Three people have been flown to hospital in Victoria after a mini-van carrying 10 tourists rolled over on King Island.

The incident happened about 4.20pm on Friday at South Road, Pearshape, in the Bass Strait island's south.

Medical teams flew in on the rescue helicopter from Hobart, and fixed wing aircraft from Air Ambulance Victoria to treat patients at the scene.

Police say 10 people were travelling in the van, with one passenger flown to The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne in a serious condition.

Two other passengers were flown to another Melbourne hospital for treatment, while others were transferred to King Island District Hospital and Health Centre at Currie.

Police said, as of Friday evening, none of the injuries were life-threatening.
