Six people have died and four others are seriously injured after a spate of horror crashes on Victorian roads since Friday.

Four people died on Saturday, including a pedestrian and a motorcyclist.

Two motorcyclists in their 20s died on Friday.

The first incident occurred on Friday afternoon in Footscray when a 25-year-old motorcyclist died after colliding with a car at the intersection of Ballarat Road and Dawson Avenue.

The driver of the car, a 59-year-old Mount Waverley man, was arrested and interviewed at the scene before being released pending further enquiries.

Later that evening, another motorcyclist died in when he crashed with a car on the Black Spur in Healesville about 7:15pm.

The rider, a 21-year-old from Somerville, died at the scene. Police will prepare a report for the coroner.

On Saturday, a 75-year-old woman died after being hit by a vehicle at a pedestrian crossing at Dennington, near Warrnambool, just after midday. She died at the scene.

The 53-year-old male driver of the car provided assistance to the woman and will be interviewed by police.

About 6:20pm last night, a 26-year-old Nunawading man died after losing control of his motorbike and crashing into a tree in Blairgowrie, near the Mornington Peninsula.

The bike's passenger, a 29-year-old Blairgowrie man, was flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

At roughly the same time, police were called to a fatal crash between two cars in Maryborough in western Victoria.

One of the drivers, a 47-year-old man from Maryborough, died at the scene. His passenger, a 75-year-old woman from Maryborough, was flown to hospital with serious injuries.

About an hour-and-a-half later, the driver and sole occupant of a ute died after crashing into a tree in Werribee in Melbourne's west. The man has yet to be identified.

227 people have died on Victorian roads this year, 20 less than the same time last year.

Victoria Police are also investigating a crash between an e-bike and a car on Saturday in Moolap, near Geelong.

A 17-year-old boy was flown to a Melbourne Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains in hospital in a serious condition.

Another 17-year-old male was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the driver of the car, who stopped at the scene, was not injured.

Meanwhile, a 20-year-old Warrnambool man was yesterday charged over a collision that allegedly killed 70-year-old local cyclist Clive Coomber on Hopkins Falls Road in Cudgee in March.

Police said the man was charged with a number of offences, including culpable driving causing death, and failing to stop and render assistance.

He was bailed and is to front the Warrnambool Magistrates' Court on December 4.
