Renowned music executive Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy, has explained that being signed to his record label doesn't guarantee global success.

Speaking in a recent livestream with popular forex trader Habby Forex, Don Jazzy said the music business is risky, even if it is not as volatile as forex trading.

He pointed out that not every artist he signed to his record label would become a global star and make a lot of money for the label.

The Mavin Records boss noted that as long as an artist is better than they were before they joined the label, that is already a success for them.

"The forex market is just something I do for fun. Music still takes most of my time, and my other businesses are not as volatile and risky as the forex market. But not every artist I signed will become global. Just like in trading, there is risk in the music business, too. But to us, as long as you are better today than yesterday as an artist, you are a success," he said.

Don Jazzy has nurtured and played significant roles in the careers of Nigerian artists who rose to global prominence, including D'Banj, Tiwa Savage, Rema, and, most recently, Ayra Starr.
