The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) has established its first Digital Press Centre as part of efforts to modernise its operations, improve production capacity and respond to technological changes in the printing and publishing industry.

The facility, commissioned on January 8, 2026, forms part of the company's retooling agenda under the leadership of Managing Director Nana Kwasi Boatey, with support from the sector Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, and President John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking at the Government Accountability Series at Jubilee House on Monday, November 2, Mr Boatey said the establishment of the centre was a strategic response to the growing demand for digital and on-demand printing solutions, as well as the need to improve cost efficiency and service delivery.

He said the facility had strengthened GPCL's ability to undertake critical national printing assignments while positioning it as a modern state-owned enterprise aligned with the government's Reset Agenda and 24-hour economy policy.

The Managing Director said the investment would support the company's broader ambition to become Ghana's leading printing and publishing institution, with improved capacity to serve government agencies, corporate organisations and private-sector clients.
