KIC and Mastercard Foundation announce Winners of 2026 AgriTech Challenge Pro

The Kosmos Innovation Centre (KIC), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, has announced the winners of the 2026 AgriTech Challenge Pro. Speaking at the event, Stanley Amamu, Programs Manager for KIC, highlighted: “At the Kosmos Innovation Centre, we believe that Africa’s agricultural transformation will be driven not only by what we produce, but also by how we innovate, how we build businesses and how we create opportunities for young people to participate in the agricultural value chain”.

The Kosmos Innovation Centre (KIC), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, has announced the winners of the 2026 AgriTech Challenge Pro. Following the Final Pitch event on 29 October 2026, 10 businesses out of 15 were selected to receive funding and progress into KIC’s Incubation Programme, where they will receive further support to strengthen their business models, improve market readiness, and build sustainable, commercially viable enterprises in Ghana’s agricultural sector.

The selection marks the culmination of a rigorous process designed to assess the potential, viability and readiness of participating businesses. Throughout the AgriTech Challenge Pro, entrepreneurs have refined their solutions, validated their business propositions, and shown how their innovations can meet real needs across the agricultural value chain.

“The AgriTech Challenge Pro was designed with this in mind. It challenges entrepreneurs to move beyond the promise of an idea and begin building businesses that respond to real market needs, solve practical problems and have the potential to become commercially viable,” he added. From business ideas to investment readiness A key component of the AgriTech Challenge program is the field validation stage, during which the KIC team engaged with participating businesses and their operating environments to verify business claims, assess progress and strengthen the evidence informing funding decisions.

The process gave us an opportunity to examine businesses beyond their pitch presentations, bringing greater rigour to selecting enterprises for incubation and helping us better understand their operations, market opportunities, and growth potential. The Final Pitch gave entrepreneurs a platform to present their businesses and demonstrate their readiness to progress.

This process identified successful businesses, which then had the opportunity to benefit from the next phase of KIC’s enterprise development support. Supporting the next generation of agribusiness leaders Through the AgriTech Challenge Pro, KIC continues to support entrepreneurs who are rethinking how agriculture can be made more productive, efficient and commercially attractive through innovation, technology and new business models.

Progression into incubation represents an important step for the selected businesses. With funding and targeted business development support, they will have an opportunity to address critical growth challenges, strengthen their operations and position their enterprises for greater market participation. The programme reflects KIC’s broader commitment to nurturing young entrepreneurs and supporting businesses that can contribute to agricultural transformation, job creation, and economic opportunity.

As the selected businesses enter incubation, their progress will continue the journey from entrepreneurial potential to stronger, market-oriented enterprises capable of delivering value across agricultural communities and value chains. The winning businesses and the seed funding amounts are as follows: Angban Life USD 13,000; From a Mother’s Kitchen USD 12,000; Pri Fimps Foods USD 10,000; Kebab Masters USD 10,000; Hibitea and Beverages USD 10,000; GreenFalcon Innovations USD 10,000; Feathery Care Ltd USD 10,000.

Ecoverse Ltd. USD 10,000; Ecofert Ghana Ltd USD 10,000; and Hot Drops USD 5,000. A total of USD 100,000 in seed funding was awarded. What comes next? The announcement of the 2026 AgriTech Challenge Pro winners signals the beginning of the next chapter for the selected businesses. Their progression into incubation will focus on building the capabilities, systems and commercial foundations needed to support their growth.
