Six dialysis machines inaugurated at SCCL’s Ramagundam Area Hospital

Six new dialysis machines were inaugurated at the Ramagundam Area Hospital of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in Godavarikhani of Peddapalli district on Monday.

The new machines have been installed at a total cost of ₹60 lakh, with each unit costing ₹10 lakh. The machines were inaugurated by SCCL Chief Medical Officer Kiran Rajkumar and RG-I Area general manager D. Lalith Kumar.

The new facility is expected to ensure uninterrupted and quality dialysis services for employees of the SCCL in the coal belt.

The Ramagundam Area Hospital caters to patients not only from the RG-I Area but also from the Bhupalpally, Bellampalli, and Mandamarri Areas.

The installation of the new machines assumes significance as the existing dialysis machines had become outdated.

According to sources, the SCCL management sanctioned the new machines following representations from various trade unions in the coal belt, including the AITUC-affiliated Singareni Collieries Workers Union (SCWU), the recognised union of the company.
