The halls of Prudential Bank Ltd. came alive last Friday as staff gathered for a much-anticipated Staff Durbar and Town Hall meeting following the recently announced successful recapitalisation of GHS1.13 billion.

The engagement formed part of the bank’s internal communication efforts to keep employees informed about significant corporate developments, address their questions and promote a shared understanding of the bank’s priorities.

The atmosphere was one of unity and pride, with staff turning out in large numbers at the bank’s Head Office Annex premises.

Leading the programme, the Group Board Chairman of Bloom Africa Holding Ghana Limited and Shareholders’ Representative, Gabriel Edgal, expressed confidence in the bank’s future and reaffirmed the Board’s support for its growth.

He commended management and staff for steering the bank through the recapitalisation process and said the Board remained committed to Prudential Bank’s long-term growth and market position.

Earlier, in a presentation, the Acting Managing Director, Ebow Quayson, thanked staff for their resilience and hard work throughout the recapitalisation process.

“The recapitalisation marks an essential step in strengthening Prudential Bank’s capacity to pursue its strategic ambitions, invest in technology, and enhance the experience we deliver to our customers.

“As we move forward, the commitment, collaboration, and professionalism of our staff will be essential in translating this strengthened foundation into sustainable growth and long-term value for our customers and stakeholders,” he said.

The Town Hall also provided an opportunity to formally introduce newly appointed members of the Board and the Bank’s Executive Committee (EXCO).

The meeting was followed by a staff social event, with activities held across the bank’s branches nationwide. Staff enjoyed food, music and an opportunity to unwind.
