“Whenever I asked about my parents, he (Indushekar) diverted the topic and told me that we were going on a trip. He kept throwing big plastic bags out of the car and, when I asked him about it, he said he was disposing of garbage,” said a 11-year-old boy who was rescued when the police arrested Indushekar, the prime accused in the Rajajinagar murders case.

“When I tried to open the boot of the car to check what he was doing, he scolded me for getting out of the car,” he said. The plastic bags likely contain the bodies of the boy’s parents, the police said.

The boy told the media that after the dinner party at Indushekar’s house in Rajajinagar on October 31, the accused forced his family to stay back even though they had been planning to leave. The murders were allegedly carried out that night.

The FIR also states that the boy’s family had informed their landlords to keep the gate of their house open as they would be returning late. However, they never returned.

The accused is suspected to have driven the car with the boy inside and the bodies in the boot.

Even more chilling is that the death toll in the case could have risen to eight, as the accused allegedly planned to murder the boy. Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh said the police suspected that the “boy was the next target”, but Indushekar was intercepted before he could commit the crime.

The boy told said the accused had told him they were going on a trip and first took him to Kempegowda International Airport. They then travelled to Kukke Subrahmanya, Dharmasthala, and later Sringeri. Meanwhile, the accused allegedly disposed of the “plastic bags”.

“I even asked him where atthe (the Indushekar’s wife) was, to which he replied that they had gone on a pan-India trip,” he said.
