US offers $20 million reward for information on Iran’s nuclear programme

The reward is being administered through the State Department's Rewards for Justice national security program.

The US is offering a reward of up to $20 million and possible relocation for any Iranian who provides useful information on Iran’s nuclear programme

The Central Command announced the offer on Friday in a statement shared on X. It said it seeks information about Iran’s nuclear programme, facilities, equipment, and personnel.

The reward is being administered through the State Department’s Rewards for Justice national security program.

“Rewards for Justice (RFJ), a program dedicated to gathering information on terrorism and foreign operations against the US, issued a new offer for information including facilities, equipment, and personnel connected to Iran’s nuclear program,” the statement read.

This comes despite US President Donald Trump’s oft-repeated claim that Tehran’s nuclear sites and operations have been obliterated.

Mr Trump first said this in June 2025, after the US struck Iran’s nuclear facilities. The attack targeted Iran’s Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan facilities.

Mr Trump told the nation the key enrichment sites had been “completely and totally obliterated.”

But PREMIUM TIMES reported that a leaked preliminary Pentagon assessment found that the strikes sealed the entrances to two facilities without collapsing the underground buildings, and that much of the enriched uranium had been moved beforehand.

However, the US president reiterated the claim many times since another 28 February strike, which protracted into an 8-month war. During an interview in March, he said Iran’s capabilities were “totally obliterated.”

Last month, he also claimed the US Central Command obliterated Iran’s nuclear programme, and that war will end ‘very soon.’

“If they had nuclear power, they would have used nuclear power. They would have obliterated the Middle East “ he also said.

According to CENTCOM, Iran’s lack of compliance with the International Atomic Energy Agency on safeguards obligations has led to the “agency’s loss of ‘continuity of knowledge’ regarding Iran’s production and inventory of key components such as centrifuges.”

It also said, “Iran’s uranium stockpile is believed to include uranium that has been enriched to 60 per cent purity – ‘a level that is a short technical step from the 90 per cent level required to produce nuclear weapons.”

“Iran is the only non-nuclear-weapon state to produce uranium at such a high enrichment level. Experts estimate this quantity, if enriched further, could be enough for several nuclear weapons,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, President Trump also confirmed that the US carried out “minor strikes” in Iran.

“We do minor strikes. They built a little bit of an anti-aircraft device, and we knocked it out in about 15 minutes, maybe 5,” he told reporters.

Iranian media have reported missiles striking Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has also said it has brought down some US battle drones in recent weeks.
