Ukraine hit by strikes after Russia agrees to new peace talks

Kyiv has been hit by another round of missile strikes hours after Russia agreed to resume peace talks on Wednesday.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said the three waves of missiles were launched by "Russian humanitarians".

This comes after US envoy Steve Witkoff called Russia's President Vladimir Putin a "humanitarian" following a meeting in St Petersburg on Wednesday.

Russia said it was "ready in principle" to resume peace talks with the US and Ukraine.

The BBC's Dan Johnson reports from the scene of a destroyed retail park.
