Gospel musician Joe Mettle will headline the 2026 Ɔdadeɛ Torch & Bonfire Night as former students of Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC), Legon, celebrate the school’s ninth National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) title.

Dubbed the “ADO9 Edition”, the event will take place at the PRESEC School Park, Legon, on Friday, October 30, at 6pm.

Team Eternity Ghana and Daughters of Glorious Jesus will also perform at the celebration, which will combine gospel music, thanksgiving and the school’s torchlight and bonfire traditions.

Joe Mettle, whose songs include Bo Noo Ni, My Everything and Yesu Mo, will lead a line-up centred on praise and worship.

The annual gathering brings together generations of PRESEC old boys, known as Ɔdadeɛ, for fellowship and performances. Its signature activities include a torchlight procession and a bonfire lighting.

According to organisers, this year’s edition draws inspiration from PRESEC’s ninth NSMQ championship, with thanksgiving at the centre of the programme.

The event returned in 2023, while its 2024 edition featured dancehall musician Stonebwoy.

Organisers are inviting old students, year groups and friends of the school to celebrate the quiz champions and reconnect with fellow alumni.
