Broadcaster Kofi Hayford has earned praise for hosting M.anifest’s 10th anniversary celebration of his acclaimed album Nowhere Cool at the Accra Polo Club on Saturday, 24th October 2026.

Known for his eloquence and humour, Kofi kept the concert flowing smoothly, introducing the evening’s opening acts and engaging the audience ahead of the headline performance by the celebrated rapper.

His delivery, stage presence and ability to connect with the crowd added to the experience of the Nowhere Cool @ 10 Live Experience, which brought together “M.anifans” to celebrate one of M.anifest’s defining projects.

The event featured performances from Kwartengg, Anabel Rose, RCee and Arathejay, who helped set the tone for the night before M.anifest took to the stage.

The rapper then performed all 14 songs on the 2016 album, giving fans an opportunity to relive the project in its entirety, a decade after its release.

He was joined by a line-up of guest performers, including highlife star Kwabena Kwabena, dancehall musician Samini, Worlasi, Ko-Jo Cue, Ria Boss, Kwarteng, Asiama and Cina Soul.

Their appearances added to the excitement of a night built around the music, collaborations and lasting impact of Nowhere Cool. Coverage of the concert also highlighted the audience’s enthusiastic response as M.anifest revisited songs from the album.

Kofi’s role was to ensure that the programme maintained its rhythm while giving each performer the right introduction and allowing the audience to remain part of the experience.

Rather than allowing transitions between acts to interrupt the mood, he kept proceedings moving and engaged the crowd with intermittent performances of lines from some of the rapper’s most popular records.

The young broadcaster also performed as a hypeman alongside DJ Afrolektra during a 20-minute set that saw fans singing along to classic Ghanaian bangers.

His performance has since drawn positive reactions from some fans who attended the event, with audiences expressing appreciation for the way he handled his responsibilities on the night.

Kofi Hayford told Joy Entertainment that “the assignment was another opportunity to demonstrate the skills that have made me a familiar voice across Ghana’s media and entertainment landscape, and I appreciate the opportunity to serve”.

Saturday’s event also marked the second time he had been selected to host an occasion connected to M.anifest. In 2025, he hosted the listening party for the rapper’s NRAGT project in Labone, Accra.

His latest assignment further strengthens that association, bringing together his professional experience and personal admiration for an artiste whose music he follows closely.

Kofi Hayford is a broadcaster, entertainment journalist, voice-over artiste and experienced event host who has built a career around communication and connecting with people.

His work across Joy FM and Joy Prime has given him experience engaging different audiences, from radio listeners and television viewers to live event patrons.

Raise the Red Lantern review – Gong Li gives a decade-defining performance in an addictively ruthless masterpiece

Gong simmers with rage, loneliness and humiliation as the ‘fourth mistress’ navigating the intimate political savagery of her husband’s compound in Zhang Yimou’s 1991 thriller Revisiting Zhang Yimou’s grippingly addictive psychological drama from 1991, adapted from a novella by Su Tong, is a reminder of what a great impact this movie made on western audiences.
