APEDB highlights Andhra Pradesh’s rich mango legacy to attract investors

The Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board said the State’s rich mango-growing heritage offered opportunities for investment in processing, packaging and exports.

The Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) has invited prospective investors to explore agri-business opportunities at the upcoming CII Partnership Summit 2026, highlighting the State’s rich mango legacy as a key strength of its agricultural sector.

In a post on X, the APEDB said Andhra Pradesh was a major contributor to India’s mango economy, with extensive cultivation, diverse varieties and a strong presence in domestic and international markets.

From the GI-tagged Banganapalli mango to established mango-growing belts, the State’s orchards reflected its rich agricultural heritage, it said.

Beyond cultivation, a growing value chain was connecting farmers with processing, packaging and export markets. Hubs such as Chittoor and Nuziveedu were supporting this ecosystem, creating livelihoods, strengthening rural economies and opening up opportunities for value addition, the board said.

The State’s agricultural strengths offered considerable potential for linking local produce with global markets, which investors could explore at the summit, it added.
