staff to adopt AI for better public service delivery.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday called upon Telangana government employees to strengthen their understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and use emerging technologies effectively in their day-to-day work to improve administrative efficiency and public service delivery. He also suggested that departments identify suitable areas for pilot AI projects and expand their use based on demonstrated benefits in terms of public service, efficiency and accuracy.

Inaugurating the AI Saksham programme organised by TG MATH with the support of the Planning Department at the MCR HRD Institute in Hyderabad, Mr. Vikramarka said government employees should make full use of AI training initiatives to enhance their technological capabilities and keep pace with rapid advancements in the field.

He said AI should not merely help speed up office work but also contribute to resolving citizens’ grievances more efficiently. The real measure of AI’s success would be the positive impact it creates in people’s lives, he said, adding that the programme was aimed at building the capacities of government employees and improving administrative efficiency. He stressed that officials should learn to use AI applications according to the requirements of their roles by actively participating in the training.

Highlighting the public benefits of technology, he said AI-enabled governance should help reduce delays in service delivery, ensuring faster processing of applications and easier access to information for citizens. He urged officials to utilise the time saved through AI-driven processes to address public grievances more effectively and improve service quality.

He also underlined the importance of data security, accuracy and accountability in the use of AI. Officials were advised not to enter official or personal information into unauthorised AI platforms and to verify AI-generated content before using it in official records or decision-making processes.

Planning Secretary Gaurav Uppal, TRANSCO CMD Krishna Bhaskar, TG MATH Managing Director Pooja, MCR HRD Institute Director General Shanti Kumari and other officials attended the programme.
