In his welcome address, the Governor, Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama, said the country has improved in digital finance but is still facing challenges of accessibility.

“Ghana's financial sector has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past decade. Through innovation, collaboration and investment in digital infrastructure, financial services have become more accessible to millions of Ghanaians”.

“Today, Ghana stands among Africa's leading digital finance markets, supported by interoperable payment systems, mobile money, fintech innovation and a regulatory environment that has fostered both growth and trust,” he said.

Queen Maxima used the opportunity to commend Ghana for the consistency in pushing financial access to all sectors of the economy.

She therefore urged the Central Bank to begin to assess the financial health of bank customers in order to measure the impact of the various banking products that are introduced.
