APPTD directs 161 DDOs to install QR code-based feedback posters

The Andhra Pradesh Public Transport Department (APPTD-APSRTC) has directed all its 161 Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) to install QR code-based visitor feedback posters at prominent locations in their respective offices to facilitate public feedback on government services and employee performance.

A statement issued on Friday said the initiative was aimed at providing visitors with a simple and convenient mechanism to share their experiences and opinions on the functioning of government offices, thereby improving transparency, accountability and service delivery.

The instructions follow a government directive issued on October 11, which noted that only 15,927 of the 35,926 government offices across Andhra Pradesh had displayed the prescribed QR code posters, leaving the exercise pending in several offices.

Against this backdrop, the APPTD has asked all its 161 DDOs to complete the installation on top priority.

The department expects the QR code-based feedback mechanism to encourage public participation and provide the government with valuable inputs on the quality of services delivered. The feedback is also expected to help identify areas requiring improvement and make government offices more responsive to citizens’ needs and expectations.

‘I’m never going to be bloody Robert De Niro!’: Rob Brydon, the most chipper man on TV

He talks about rejecting Hollywood, refusing to play a villain – and why he just can’t make fun of Steve Coogan ‘I’m a nice person, you know,” says Rob Brydon, as I met him in a basement green room of the BBC, where probably nobody with such a mellow ego has ever sat. We’re here to talk about his new six-parter, Bill’s Included, but his character in it, the eponymous Bill, is such a distillation of pure Rob Brydon that it’s (accidentally, he says) a celebration of his entire career.
