As part of its 2026 Customer Service Week celebrations, Letshego Savings and Loans PLC, Ghana has donated essential medical equipment and refurbished the maternity ward at Mamprobi Hospital in Accra on the 8th of October 2026, reaffirming its commitment to improving lives and creating lasting impact in the communities it serves. The donation formed part of the company’s Customer Service Week activities, which were held from October 5 to 9 under the global theme “The Extra Mile.” Guided by its own customer-centric philosophy of “Every Customer Matters” and “Every Interaction Counts,” Letshego Savings and Loans PLC used the occasion to not only celebrate customers but also to invest in initiatives that improve lives beyond financial services.

The intervention at Mamprobi Hospital focused on enhancing maternal and neonatal care by providing much-needed equipment such as a radiant warmer, fetal dopplers, blood pressure apparatuses, patient screens, wardrobes, curtains, an air conditioner, a refrigerator, as well as painting works. The initiative was informed by identified challenges within the maternity ward, where limited equipment and aging infrastructure had created constraints for healthcare professionals.

The support is expected to improve comfort for mothers, strengthen patient monitoring, and enhance healthcare delivery for both mothers and newborns. Among the speakers at the donation was Sam Donkor, Letshego’s Chief Commercial Officer who categorically mentioned Letshego’s continued commitment towards the community, especially women in this case.

Letshego’s Chief Operations Officer, Prince Okai, also added that “A key part of our Impact strategy is improving the lives of vulnerable groups and supporting institutions that serve them. We identified Mamprobi Hospital as a facility in need of essential resources to strengthen maternal and newborn care. This intervention reflects our broader commitment to supporting and empowering women, many of whom rely on our financing to establish and grow sustainable businesses.”Through initiatives such as these, Letshego Ghana continues to demonstrate that meaningful customer service goes beyond business interactions, creating positive social impact and supporting sustainable community development within and outside its premises.

Letshego Ghana Savings and Loans PLC is a licensed financial services provider offering credit and savings solutions to individuals across the public and private sectors, while supporting micro and small enterprises through physical, partnership, and digital channels. Management and staff of Mamprobi Hospital expressed gratitude to Letshego Ghana for the timely intervention, describing the donated items as critical resources that will significantly improve service delivery and patient experience within the maternity ward.

The donation was among several impact projects undertaken by Letshego during Customer Service Week, alongside customer appreciation initiatives, loyalty rewards, financial empowerment interventions, and staff engagement activities designed to celebrate and recognize the company’s customers and employees.
